The relationship
The strongest relationships don't happen by accident.
They happen because two people keep choosing them.
Life can make that surprisingly easy to forget. Work gets louder. Children need more. Responsibilities multiply. Days become efficient. Conversations become practical.
The relationship still works.
But somewhere along the way, it quietly stops getting the attention it deserves.
Nothing has to be wrong to do something about that.
The experiences
Three ways to make time for us.
Every Solas experience is private. No groups. No strangers. Just the two of you. The difference is how much time you want to give it.
01 · Three hours
The Prelude
A private afternoon together.
Sometimes three intentional hours can change more than another six months of good intentions.
The Prelude gives you an afternoon away from the usual noise. A beautiful setting, lunch, good conversation and enough structure to help you talk about the things that rarely make it to the top of the list.
Come because you're curious.
Leave knowing something more about each other than when you arrived.
02 · One day
The Solas Experience
A day that belongs to your relationship.
Not another day off together.
A day deliberately set aside for the two of you.
We begin with where you are now — what is good, what has changed, what has been left unsaid or simply unattended to — and build the day from there.
Conversation moves between beautiful settings, shared experiences, food, movement and time alone together.
Enough structure to take you somewhere.
Enough space for the unexpected.
By the end of the day, the aim isn't to have solved your relationship. It's to see each other more clearly, remember what matters between you, and leave with a stronger sense of what you want to protect and build next.
03 · The full journey
Being Us
When a day isn't enough.
Being Us is for couples who want to go further. Not because the relationship is in crisis.
Because you've recognised that what you have is worth giving proper time to.
The journey begins before you arrive in Bali, continues through a three-night private immersion in Ubud, and stays with you afterwards.
We look at how well you know each other's world now. How affection is given and received. What happens when you disagree. What has changed between you. And what you want the next part of your life together to look like.
The time in Bali allows those conversations to move beyond understanding and into experience. The work afterwards helps what you discover find its way home.
This isn't a retreat you attend. It is time deliberately set aside for your relationship — before you need a reason to.
Why couples come
Not because they're falling apart.
Because they're paying attention.
“We're good. We want to stay good.”
“Life has become very busy.”
“We talk all the time. Just not about us.”
“We miss us.”
“We don't want to wait until there's a problem.”
You don't need a crisis to take your relationship seriously.
The approach
Thoughtful, not therapeutic.
Solas sits somewhere different. It isn't therapy or counselling. And it isn't a romantic day out with a few conversation cards added in.
The work is informed by Gottman relationship research and shaped around a simple idea: good relationships need curiosity, attention and the ability to keep knowing one another as life changes.
The research gives us a foundation. What happens between the two of you is what matters.

About Jitesh
The person holding the conversation matters.
I'm Jitesh Patel, founder of Solas Solas.
I came to this work through a long fascination with what happens to people — and the relationships around them — as life changes.
I'm a certified Gottman 7 Principles Leader, but I'm also a husband of twenty years. I know the difference between understanding relationships in theory and living inside one while careers, children, ambitions and ordinary life compete for attention.
I created Solas Solas because I wanted something I couldn't find myself. Not therapy. Not another retreat.
A considered place for two people who already care about their relationship to give it their full attention.
That's the work I now hold for other couples.

A few things you may be wondering
Begin
It starts with a conversation.
Thirty minutes. Just you and me.
Tell me a little about the two of you, what brought you here and what you're hoping for.
I'll tell you which experience I think fits — or whether I think Solas Solas isn't what you need.
No pitch. No obligation to book.
